The Plastics Technology Expo (PTXPO) is a three-day showcase of cutting-edge plastics processing technologies and innovations, presented by Plastics Technology, MoldMaking Technology and Gardner Business Media, Inc. PTXPO will take place March 17–19, 2026, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. Exhibit hall hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. PTXPO tickets can be purchased online through March 20, 2026, for $50; use promo code AMBA50 for a FREE expo hall pass.
AMBA member exhibitors are gearing up to showcase the latest innovations, offering a firsthand look at cutting-edge technologies and equipment across the molding industry. Over three days, attendees can join fellow molders, moldmakers, brand owners, OEMs and industry suppliers to explore new solutions, gain insights and make connections. Be sure to visit the AMBA member exhibitors on the
show floor.
The American Mold Builders Association (AMBA) will be exhibiting at PTXPO – stop by booth #1523. The association provides members with bottom-line-focused programs, benchmarking data, networking opportunities and additional business resources designed to strengthen their operations. AMBA will be promoting two of its benchmarking reports: the 2026 Business Forecast Report and the 2025 Wage and Salary Report. The 2026 Business Forecast Report provides in-depth analysis of past, current and anticipated business conditions. The 2025 Wage and Salary Report features high, low and average rates of pay across more than 50 job classifications commonly found in mold building. These reports are available for purchase by both AMBA members and nonmembers; however, PTXPO attendees can preview select highlights at the booth. AMBA members also are invited to attend the Member Appreciation Reception on March 18, 2026, from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
The American Mold Builder also will be on-site at booth #1523, where attendees will be able to pick up the latest issue of the magazine and a copy of the new 2026
Source Book.
Recognized as North America’s premier molding and moldmaking event, PTXPO offers an expansive exhibit hall, in-depth educational sessions led by top industry experts and hands-on opportunities to see the latest machinery in action through live demonstrations. The event also provides numerous networking opportunities designed to connect attendees across the mold manufacturing supply chain.
The show floor will feature more than 200 exhibitors across 42,000 sq. ft., organized into major process-focused pavilions to help attendees efficiently plan and navigate their experience. Pavilion categories include 3D printing, auxiliary equipment, extrusion and thermoforming, injection and blow molding, materials, moldmaking, recycling, and robotics and automation. Educational programming will complement the exhibit floor, with sessions covering key industry topics such as sustainability, workforce development, emerging technologies, supply chain management and sourcing.
To assist with show planning, attendees can access the MyPTXPO Planner through the event website. The tool allows users to create a personalized show account, schedule appointments, save exhibitors and products of interest, and build a customized agenda of educational sessions.
