The Sarasota, Florida-based Reshoring Initiative’s 2020 Data Report contains data on US reshoring and foreign direct investment (FDI) companies that have shifted production or sourcing from offshore to the United States. Reshoring will continue to be key to US manufacturing and economic recovery in 2021 and beyond due to the increase of jobs that it has proved to bring. Reshoring and FDI job announcements for 2020 were 160,649, bringing the total jobs announced since 2010 to more than 1 million. It is anticipated that for the year 2021 reshoring and FDI job announcements are going to be near 200,000, up at least by 25% since 2020. For more information, visit www.reshorenow.org.
